Have you ever wondered how a drop of rain falling on the city finds it way to Lake Ontario?RiverSides Stewardship Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping communities protect and restore water quality in urban watersheds, has a self-guided tour that takes you on a raindrop’s journey to the lake.
On the way you will find out how you can prevent rainfall and snowmelt run-off from polluting our water. The Water in the City Walk takes about two hours. It begins in a neighbourhood and follows water into the stormwater or sanitary sewer system until it flows into the Don River. For more information go to www.riversides.org.
